Stephan Alexander has studied drama and acting privately with a variety of teachers since he was 13 years old. Before beginning his career in entertainment, which took him from television shows on Buena Vista Television (Disney) to Broadway (Mamma Mia!), he first played the role of Puck in a Midsummer’s Night Dream in a production at a local college when he was 15 years old. This performance would start a decades long love affair with theatre and, in particular, Shakespeare’s work.
Throughout his career Stephan has had the opportunity to perform a variety of characters, most notably originating the role of Angel in the 1st National Touring Company of RENT, for which he received an Helen Hayes Award nomination for best supporting actor in a musical. Currently studying with the Heidi Marshall Studio, Mr. Alexander is now focusing on acting for film and television.
